A Biography From The Author

My biography is in the pages that you will continue to read over the years. My poems are a tapestry woven with life’s rawest threads. Writing became part of my life in high school. It was a more concentrated outlet for expressing my emotions. Music was my number one outlet for a long |
time. Poetry became my refuge in the 10th grade when
my English teacher focused heavily on that particular style of writing.
Discovering the ability to express emotion in a form of writing that is
not used on an everyday basis in common communication was surreal. Being
teased/harassed from the 3rd grade to the 12th grade is an experience
that will be with me all my life. That experience has been burned painfully
into my mental and emotional psyche. The burden became so great at one
point; I was ready to end my life and the life of others.
Those words are then sealed in the paper they appear on. It allows me to lighten my load and it allows the world to see the makings of me. I show the world who I am to help people better accept who they are. I am a broken spirit that has been mended, broken again and then mended again. I am someone who has been financially stable, been dirt poor and then financially stable again. I am someone who was once a college student who dropped out and then became a college student again. The word former can be put before many titles when describing me. Yet, God has still allowed me to be here and make my voice heard on this earth. I’ve traveled throughout many cities and have spoke with people all over the world. I’ve lived in many cities and have seen many things in my short time on this earth. My humble beginnings as a conservative little country boy from South Carolina has now metamorphosed into an open minded metropolitan man of the world. These experiences have helped me create the books in the Complicated Series, the activist organization America Hears You (www.americahearsyou.com coming August 2008), the entertainment company Plethora Media Inc, and the travel company Plethora Travel. I’ve been given a new platform in life and I plan to use it to inspire people, speak for those who can’t speak for themselves and also to entertain the world.
